Terrific Tommy the Crab Shows Community Support

tommy2MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Everyone loves Tommy. And, Tommy loves everyone. Throughout the year, Tommy lends his infectiously positive attitude in support of community and charitable events throughout the Grand Strand. From North Myrtle Beach to the south end of the Strand, Tommy sinks his claws into the hearts of those who attend and supports worthwhile events some of which focus on under-served children, promote disaster relief, and promote area tourism.

Fun, colorful and, always, charismatic, Tommy entertains, educates and delights audiences of all ages. A popular mascot of the Giant Crab Seafood Restaurant, Tommy represents a Grand Strand business that cares for the community to which it serves the freshest seafood buffet in town.

So far, Tommy’s made appearances at the following events:

The Mascot Challenge Kickball Game at the Ripken Experience. Tommy wowed the crowd as the only mascot who kicked the ball, ran all the bases and scored.

Holes for Heroes, the Gilligan’s Island Funland Golf Event to benefit the Red Cross Benefit. This was a great event for families and a great way to support the vital services of the Red Cross, said Nanci Conley, executive director, Coastal South Carolina Chapter.

Caring for kids is what Tommy does best. At the Abused Children’s Benefit in North Myrtle Beach, Tommy showed up to help raise monies for children who are helpless victims of abuse and neglect.

River Oaks Elementary PTO held its annual Winter Otter Fest and Tommy was there. The event includes a pancake breakfast, pictures with Santa, games for kids, raffles, silent auction and vendors. Monies raised from the games benefited the PTO’s programs and events.

Trunk or Treat at the Fun Warehouse. Businesses and vendors were invited to decorate the trunk of their vehicle details denpharma in Halloween-themed decorations and distribute candy and marketing items.

Giant ambassador, Tommy, greeted visitors who stopped by Myrtle Beach Visitor Centers. And welcomed those who attended the Atlantic Beach Memorial Weekend Bike Fest.

Tommy welcomed snowbirds back to their winter havens at the Myrtle Beach Mall’s Snowbird Convention.
